day17You don’t have to be the next TLC’s Extreme Couponer in order to save your family money. I have rarely met a family that was ONLY store brand. As frugal as I am, there are certain things I do not compromise on such as Starbucks ground coffee beans and CoffeeMate creamer. I do save us a whole grocery trip of funds each year by clipping coupons. Matching weekly sales to coupons available in the Saturday/Sunday papers along with the printable coupons you can get online can sometimes result in free produce, cheaper than store-brand product, or generally just a healthier option for less cost.  Make your shopping list, peruse coupons.com for coupons and take advantage of coupon databases.

Last week I saw that toilet paper was on sale for a certain amount and using coupon database I was able to find an online printable coupon and save us even more money and find a good qiality TP for less than store cost. It takes an extra 10-15 minutes searching coupons but do it! Keep track of your savings and don’t forget to seek out tear-pad coupons next to your favorite brands. I found a good coupon for Tom’s of Main Toothpaste one week and picked up a couple extra and saved them and sure enough about a month later there was a very good deal and I picked up our favorite brand toothpaste for about $1 a box… extremely good deal.
