Politely decline “home parties”. Or, be honest and upfront, you don’t have the money but you wish them the best success. If I attended every party I was invited too, I could easily end up spending hundreds a month. That is not feasible. It’s super hard to do this because I want to show support for small businesses and when I worked as a Scentsy consultant, we really did depend on those sales. However, I know that it was harder for me to accept a sale when I knew that person was financially struggling. So far, none of my friends have ended our friendship over me not financially supporting their endeavors. 🙂
